Lighting plays a unique and crucial role in our daily lives. It is present in every room of every building. What makes lighting even more fascinating is its effect on our subconscious. Among other things, it influences buying behaviour, learning performance, productivity and well-being in the workplace.
It is therefore logical that more and more attention is being paid to establishing rules and good practices to ensure that a lighting plan meets specific requirements. It is up to the lighting expert to prove with a clear lighting calculation that your lighting meets all standards.
TEAM OF LIGHTING EXPERTS
I took my first steps in the lighting industry in 2003. Little did I know then what a great passion lighting would become. Gradually, it was lighting calculations in particular that attracted me: the way to understand and explain something as intangible as light.
Because the need for correct lighting calculations and clear lighting plans has increased enormously in recent years, I decided to set up Refrax to further specialise in this field. And that in all areas of lighting: indoor and outdoor lighting, emergency lighting, sports lighting, public lighting …
I do most of the studies and plans myself. However, I am occasionally assisted by other experienced lighting planners to guarantee a short lead time. That way, we can also continue to reinforce each other’s knowledge.
I WORK ON A FREELANCE BASIS
I work on a freelance basis, so you can call on me whenever you need support for your projects. One-off or on a permanent basis. Moreover, I have no commercial ties with lighting suppliers, so I act as a 100% independent lighting expert.
